Could you look at a way to add a way to sort by pantry location? This would streamline the weekly inventory check. You don't always store items in the same place as similar items (e.g. Apples on the counter and peppers in the fridge).
I understand one of the big risks of enhancing this app is putting too MUCH functionality that could complicate everything, but storage location could be a sortable and filterable item like categories and shopping groups.

I would like this feature too. I'd be happy to give up my other pantry tracking app to use this one if I could track multiple locations (pantry storage, basement storage, freezer, etc). Plus I need to be able to manage qty of items in pantry . It would be great to have all this functionality in one app. Right now I'm using 4 different ones to make it work. Thanks!

On this topic. Can you sort by categories? I created a "fridge" category but cannot figure out how to sort by the category? Btw I love this app

The next update has pantry quantities, so it's getting closer to all of those features!
You can sort the pantry/item list using the bar along the bottom of the screen. It defaults to A-Z sorting, but you can also select Categories or Shopping Groups.

I think adding the pantry location is even more important now that we can easily keep track of quantities. I'd love to be able to make 1 lap around the house and be able to update everything in order.

Yes, please! I just got this app, and am loving it so far, but locations would be really helpful. For instance, it would be helpful to know whether there's an open jar of pesto in the fridge that I need to use up, or if I just have an unopened jar on the shelf.
