Which device(s) do you use?

02 October 2012 - 02:54 PM

I've been fairly busy with the iOS version of Menu Planner so far, but I'm starting to see a rising demand for an Android version as well. I'm not promising that it will happen, but I'd like to start by finding out which devices you'd like to see it on first.

What kind of Android device(s) are you using (phone or tablet)?
Which version of the Android OS are you running?

The biggest challenge with Android that I see so far is the number of differences between devices and the versions of Android OS running on them. I'm hoping to find a good hardware and OS starting point if/when I can start development on it.

Thanks!
Alan

FIXED 2.8.71 - Can't cancel the Clear All option

30 September 2012 - 09:16 PM

This affects the IPad version only!

When you click the clear button on the shopping list, then select "Clear All", you get prompted to be sure you want to continue. If you click cancel, it still clears all items from the list.

FIXED 2.8.71 - iPhone only - tapping an item's name under the Pantry tab shows anot...

30 September 2012 - 08:37 PM

When the advanced pantry is turned on, the pantry tab will show all of your items with the qty/servings currently on hand. If you tap the qty on hand, a screen will open where you can adjust the advanced pantry setup for that item (this works as it should). However, if you tap on the item's name instead, you'll be taken to a different item's edit screen.

This affects the iPhone version only.

FIXED 2.8.71 - Advanced Pantry Qty/Servings on hand not auto decremented from meal plans

30 September 2012 - 08:29 PM

In version 2.8.7, there is a bug that is preventing meal plans from auto-subtracting the number of servings from the qty on hand. For example, if you have 12 eggs on hand, then add 1 serving of Eggs to your meal plan, the pantry qty on hand will still show 12.

This will be fixed as soon as possible.

Workaround for crash when meal planning!

07 September 2012 - 08:36 PM

In the latest update, there is an issue that causes the app to crash when trying to start a new meal plan by tapping the bottom half of the screen instead of using the "+" buttons.

On the iPhone and the iPad versions, there is some text on an empty day that says "Tap the "+" button to get started". If you tap that area, the app will crash. Normally tapping there would give you the list of Meal Types to choose from to get your plan started.

As a workaround, use the "+" button at the top of the screen to get the same list of Meal Types.

I already submitted the fix to Apple as another update, but they are currently taking around 8 days to approve app changes.
